Fabulous Magazine

In August of 2021, I was lucky enough to complete a short internship with Fabulous Magazine. During my time at the head office in London, I organised the infamous fashion cupboard, and assisted on multiple photoshoots. I also completed a primary researching task on Oxford Street for an upcoming article and was placed in charge of the credits for a front page shoot. Along with various researching tasks and assistance on product shots. I learnt some valuable skills during my time with Fabulous and gained some invaluable experience and most importantly met some talented people who I have kept a great relationship with to this day. Assisting Photoshoots

As Fabulous is a fashion and beauty magazine, there were multiple different photoshoots during my time there. I was luckily able to assist on many, whether that be clothing adjustments, product shots, fetching items from the fashion cupboard, touchups, etc. This was definitely a highlight of my time at Fabulous HQ.

Fashion Cupboard

I began my internship by working in the infamous fashion cupboard. The fashion cupboard is typically used as a buffer between the clothing which has recently been sent to a company by a brand, and clothing which is then used in various photoshoots. I had been tasked with organising all of the clothing and shoes into piles according to their brands, before packaging them up and sending them back. Although this does seem like a mundane task, this is the place where much of the top designers and stylists we know of today began.

Motel Studios

Motel Studios is the rented space Fabulous use for high-profile photoshoots and interviews.

Photoshoot BTS

I was asked to attend this shoot to control the credits as we were shooting a collection of lingerie pieces from various brands. I had to make note of where each item was from, the size the model wore and the prices. It was fascinating to be a part of the behind-the-scenes of a professional photoshoot for a high-profile magazine.

Content Creation

Following my internship with Fabulous, I was keen to continue a close relationship with the team and would update them with how

my University course was going and any other opportunities I had undertaken. At the time, I was looking to gain more experience in

the makeup industry, in order to support my ambition to continue a career in makeup artistry. Therefore, the women at Fabulous very

kindly offered for me to create some social media content for their TikTok and Instagram pages. Where I created a total of four

short tutorial videos. I very much enjoyed creating at-home content in collaboration with Fabulous, after years of creating content

for my personal Instagram.
